Research-creation between the academic world and the video game industry

Contribution at the conference « Recherche-création à la cité Descartes », Université Eiffel, 21 octobre 2020.

Research-creation is often described at the confluent between the universities and the art world. This talk questions the legitimity of research-creation based in a cultural industry. It focuses on a project developed in a video game studio which is created and analysed through academic standards. Even if methods, evaluation criteria and time frames are different from one field to another, these various contexts contribute to give a rich meaning to the project.
