After analysing the relations between contemporary art and video games (thanks to the difference between Game Art and Art Games), I suggest that the art world has an influence on how we perceive video games. More and more, we are invited to see them as unique works of art, the result of an experiment and to evaluate their interest according to their originality.
This discourse raises the question of the definition of the process of writing in a reasearch-creation project. Rather than identifying myself as an artist, I am using the concept of craft to describe my work within a media culture marked by seriality.
