Rather than focusing on ready-mades, collages, fan fictions or machinimas, this talk uses Debord’s idea of “détournement” to describe a research-creation practice which appropriates, extracts and reconfigures the meaning of three concepts : Serious Game, Art Game, Expressive Game. The process of research that feeds the creation is studied thanks to the concrete example of the game RecovR developed by the studio The Seed Crew and designed to build awarness to the problem of sexism in the workplace.
